Find Your Zen: Our Quick 5 Minute Meditation

Make your daily routine meaningful and mindful with a quick 5-minute meditation practice. Whether it’s during a wind-down session or your lunch break, it’s important to implement healthy practices to focus on your well-being. 

  1. Make sure you are seated comfortably on a cushion or in a chair. Keep your eyes open or close them and gaze down to the ground.

  2. Just breathe. Breathe as you normally would. Take a moment to notice how each breath feels physically. Keep your attention focused on your breathing as much as you can with each breath.

  3. Understand Your Distractions It’s easy to get distracted during meditation. If you find your mind wandering, don’t give yourself a hard time. When you feel your attention go towards something outside your practice, return it back to your breathing. 

  4. Practice patience. It is common for our minds to remain busy during meditation. Mindfulness isn't something we can force, and we never intend to do that. If you find that this meditation makes it hard to concentrate as your mind races, notice how Whether you find the experience pleasant, unpleasant, or otherwise, allow everything to be for a few moments.

  5. Return to the breath. Breathing in and breathing out, return your attention to the breath once again.

  6. Open your eyes when you're ready. Pause for a moment, and then decide how you’d like to continue with the rest of your day.
